The weather is bad. Can I cancel a booked boat free of charge?
If you cancel your booking up to 24 hours before the start of the rental, we charge a fee of CHF 30.– per boat or CHF 15.– per canoe. Cancellations made 24 hours or less before the start of the rental period will be charged the full amount.
Can you bring my luggage from the start in Thun to Bern for me?
We only offer luggage transport by prior arrangement. The luggage can only arrive in Bern at 16.00 hrs at the earliest. We cannot accept any liability for the transported luggage.
From what age can children come along?
We recommend Aareböötlen only for people who can already swim well. Small children should not be on the Aare boat yet!
Can I buy a voucher for Aareböötlen as a gift?

There are no more boats available on the website. Can I still rent a boat?
Unfortunately not. If you can no longer rent a boat on the website for your desired date, all the boats are really gone. We do not have a waiting list.
Can I directly book a date for rescheduling when I make my booking?
Yes, that is possible. There is a CHF 30.– handling fee per boat.
Can I take my dog on the Aare boat?
Yes, this is allowed, but you should consider carefully whether your dog will also enjoy it and whether he or she can swim well. In any case, we recommend that you bring a life jacket for your dog. We do not rent life jackets for dogs! Your dog must never be tied to the Aare boat.
Can I change my booking myself?
No, unfortunately this is not possible. Please send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your booking number and your change request.
Can I cancel my booking myself?
Yes, you can cancel your booking yourself. In your confirmation email you will find a link to cancel your booking.
