Life Jackets
Available in sizes for adults and children. We do not provide lifejackets for dogs — please bring your own.
Barrel / Dry Bag
Clothes, shoes etc. can be placed in the water-resistant barrels. Don't bring valuables.

Paddles and a route map are provided for each boat, along with a safety briefing before departure.

Your River Journey
Follow the Aare River from Thun to Bern, discovering beautiful landscapes, exciting features, and perfect rest stops along the way.
Thun Schwäbis
Your starting point! Located at Schwäbisstrasse 51, 3613 Steffisburg. Collect your boat, get a safety briefing, and enter the river. Toilets available on-site.
Uttigen Wave
20–40 minStay to the right, about 5m from the riverbank, with your boat pointing straight ahead. Everyone must stay seated in the boat. After the wave, the water becomes calm.
Rubigen Stop
1h 45 – 2h 15Great spot for a break! Restaurant Campagna and the Wyderwasser kiosk are right here. Exit on the right side after passing the bridge.
Muri Bridge
2h – 2h 30A large wooden bridge — pass through on the right side, between the pillars, keeping your boat straight.
Muri Swimming Pool
2h 05 – 2h 35A few minutes after the bridge, you'll see a swimming pool on the right. Stopping at pools is not allowed. After this point, keep your boat to the left side of the river.
Eichholz Exit
2h 30 – 3hThe river makes a large left turn — keep to the left! Look for grey and white rocks and the big yellow "Auswasserung Eichholz" banner. Exit anywhere along the 200m beach at Strandweg 45, 3084 Köniz. The earlier you get out, the shorter the walk to the truck.
